The sun sank outside of Kennedy's apartment, soaking her bedroom in golden light. The german shepherd sat on the bed, her mind swallowed by a new book she had picked up the week prior.
She was about nine months pregnant, but living all by herself. Not a problem for her - she was very straightforward and confident about herself, knowing that she had support on hand whenever she needed.

Getting up, Kennedy wandered off to the kitchen to check her fridge for any leftovers. Luckily enough, there was some curry left from last night. "Perfect!", she snickered and pulled the container out of the fridge to heat it up.

But no, the pain shot through her belly again, and this time, Kennedy realized it was serious. "Wait..", she glimpsed over to the calendar on her bedside table. "D-Due date.. tomorrow?! How did I even miss that..!?", she huffed and looked around in panic. She was close enough to the date that this might as well be it.. and it turned out to be true.
Soon enough, she felt herself get wet and quickly, her bedsheets were covered in amniotic fluid. "Fuck.."
Kennedy reached for her phone to call somebody to help. She knew a friend who had worked as a midwife, and she figured she could count on her.

Trying her best to breathe through the pain, Kennedy released all sorts of groans and moans. Every time she pushed, she could feel her pup moving a tiny bit. Still, it felt like an eternity.
